Harley to Auction Exclusive LiveWire for COVID-19 Relief
Proceeds will go to United Way Worldwide COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund.
Harley-Davidson is trying to do its part. The Motor Company and Bonhams to Host Exclusive One-of-a-Kind Custom Motorcycle Auction and Donate Proceeds to United Way Worldwide Community Response and Recovery Fund COVID-19.
It is not unusual for The Motor Company to step forward in times of crisis; has consistently contributed to both US and international relief efforts over the years, from supporting the lifeguards of the 11 September to motorcycle donations in the restructuring of the Haiti earthquake. The current health crisis is unprecedented and continues, and HD is helping to raise funds with a custom LiveWire made just for this moment. “We are all affected by the current situation”, Jon Bekefy said, general manager of brand marketing at Harley-Davidson Motor Company. “As a longtime United Way partner, and inspired by his continued resilience in this crisis, Harley-Davidson is honored to have a role to play in the relief effort and to inspire our community on the open road ahead.”.
An ultra-exclusive version of the Harley-Davidson electric machine will be unveiled , embellished with a unique paint scheme and unique graphics package created by the Harley-Davidson design team just for the occasion. This bike, which is a modified edition of “First Strike” del LiveWire (those specially numbered versions that celebrate the first 500 units produced) also uses a full range of original carbon fiber parts and accessories, including carbon fiber speed display sheet, tail section cover, y Tank Trim. To mark the historical significance, the motorcycle at auction is the number 500 of the 500 Edition LiveWires “First Strike” and will be signed by members of the Davidson family.
“The Harley-Davidson design team created the custom paint and graphics on this motorcycle to accentuate the natural shapes of LiveWire”, said Bekefy. “It is a unique and impressive motorcycle that is truly unique”.
In addition to that custom LiveWire, the winning bidder and a guest will also enjoy an exclusive delivery experience and a tour “behind the scenes” from the Harley-Davidson Museum. That includes all travel and accommodation to Milwaukee., as well as a private and unique tour of the museum.
The auction will be held by Bonhams digitally to honor CDC's social distancing guidelines, and will be opened for online offers on this site from 12 May at 10:00 a.m. IS, closing the 26 May at 4:00 p.m. Way Worldwide Community Response and Recovery Fund COVID-19.
